Doug lived life His way.

Douglas S Woods was born Christmas Day, 1950 to William Walter and Mary Myrtle Woods in Bisbee, AZ.

After High School, he visited his Aunt and Uncle in Missouri, attended Ft. Crowder College and met and married the love of his life, Ursula Woods.  He brought his bride to Bisbee where he worked at Ft Huachuca and then Phelps Dodge and subsequently transferred to the Ajo Phelps Dodge MIne working his way from the Track Crew to General Office Messenger, Accounting Department then as the Hospital Comptroller.  After 13 years in Ajo, he was transferred to Morenci and worked in the Hospital there until the Mineworkers Strike in 1983-84.  He then moved his family to Tucson where he worked Southwest Radiology Ltd, managed his own businesses before working with the Milliken & Michaels Agency, then Newton & Associates, then Greenspan and Douglas.  He Semi-retired and worked with Aaron, Bryant, Stewart & Cross the past two years.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Ursula, two daughters, Jeanette and Mary Woods, Granddaughter Jamie Merten, Grandsons Jeffery Woods and Jacob Maxon and one Great Granddaughter Kenzie Woods.

Cremains will be interred in the family plot in Bisbee.  A Memorial service will be held in February, details to be announced when finalized.  The family asks in lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation to the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks National Foundation or the AKC Yorkshire Terrier Rescue or the Cancer Center.
