Dorothy "June" Edith Amspaugh, 90, of Tucson died May 27 at home. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Fred and Sarah Ellis Ahlersmeyer and had lived in Tucson since 1983. She is survived by her beloved husband, William, whom she married on August 13, 1944, daughters Connie (Alan) of Tucson and Sara (Pat) of Indianapolis, grandsons Tony and John Roberts of Marion, IN, 6 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her eldest daughter Cynthia. Her three siblings, Fred, Kenneth, and Wilma, also pre-deceased her.
A homemaker, she was a renowned seamstress and cook, a sharp opponent in scrabble, yahtzee, pinochle and euchre, and worked her crossword puzzles daily. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority and Ascension Lutheran Church.
A memorial service will be held on June 5 at Ascension Lutheran Church at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to The Salvation Army. An additional memorial service may be held in August in Indiana.
