Obituary for Margaret Peggy Costello
COSTELLO, Margaret (Peggy), 71, a longtime resident of Tucson, AZ, originally from West Roxbury, MA, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018. Peggy was born in Boston, MA, on November 24, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Margaret and Robert Costello, Sr., of Boston. She was a 1964 graduate of Saint Clare's High School and attended Boston State College. Peggy relocated to Tucson in her early twenties and worked as a dispatcher for the Tucson Police Department of which she had many fond memories she frequently shared with those she loved. Peggy had a contagious laugh and a personality others embraced. She was warm and generous and valued family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Meghann Kessler Knoblock of Tucson, AZ; her brother, Robert Costello, Jr. and his wife Linda of Bedford, MA; and her sister, Kathleen and her husband, Daniel Leary, Jr., of Hanover, MA. She was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, who will miss her dearly. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m., at Saint Odilia Catholic Church, 7570 N. Paseo del Norte, Oro Valley, AZ 85704. In lieu of flowers, a remembrance may be made to the Arthritis Foundation National Office, 1355 Peachtree St., NE, Suite 600, Atlanta, GA, 30309. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES-AVALON CHAPEL.
