Obituary for Henry Elias
ELIAS, Henry Born September 20, 1924 in Tucson, Henry passed peacefully surrounded by family on January 1, 2018. Henry worked 30 years at Hughes Aircraft followed by a successful insurance and real estate career for 25 years. Henry was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie and his loving wife, Ophelia. He is survived by his three daughters, Catherine Sanderson, Michaelene Barlow, Tammy Cerqua and son, William. He has ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Henry loved his family above all else. He often shared colorful stories about growing up around A Mountain and the many cars he drove. He enjoyed reading philosophy, physics, and theology, often contemplating the beauty and wonder of our world. His hands were always busy tinkering with cars, and he was a master handyman. Henry's wonderful sense of humor, and forgiving nature will be missed, but remembered in our hearts. A Mass of remembrance will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle, 5150 N. Valley View Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Casa de los Ninos. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.
