Obituary for Susan Marie Troutman

Susan Marie Troutman

Susan Troutman passed away on Feb.16 after a year long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Sue's greatest passions were photography and working to help new refugees with her friends at Iskashitaa Refugee Network in Tucson. She was born in Jamaica New York on March 20, 1949. She taught for many years in the Tulsa Oklahoma area school system, moved to Houston Texas where she was an advocate of children with conditions which compromise their learning abilities, and then moved to Tucson in 2007 where she devoted her life to helping refugees acclimate to their new environment.

Sue is survived by her daughter Wanda, husband Art, brothers Mike and Pat and sisters Judy and Jane. She was predeceased by her parents Jerome and Mary Catherine Helion and sister Mary.

It was her wish that any donations in her memory be made to the Iskashitaa Refugee Network at www.iskashitaa.org. This beautiful lady will be missed dearly by all of her close friends and surviving family.
