ROSS, Lorna Ann Born August 11, 1929 in Walla Walla, WA to Halsey and Emma Burgess, Lorna died peacefully at her home in Tucson Meadows Mobile Home Park on October 19, 2018. Predeceased by her former husband and father of her children, Ramon Ross; sister, Beverly Latourette and brother, David Burgess. Lorna is survived by her partner of 40 years Linda Mason; daughters, Jane Ross, Susan Robbins (Matt) and Michelle Ross (John Reed) and sisters, Georgia Kurtz and Elaine Burgess, and three grandchildren, Rachel and Natalie Burns and Chance Kawar as well as nieces, nephews and life-long friends Mary and Eric Odendahl. Lorna graduated from Washington Sate University and was a life-long "Go Cougars" fan. At the age of 50 she became a student at United Sates International University, graduating with a Master Degree in Art Therapy. She began assisting others with their journeys at hospices, psychiatric wards, and eating disorder programs. She later opened her own private practice in Tacoma, WA. After retirement Lorna continued "making art". She entered her pieces in various shows and won some awards. She enjoyed gardening, her lap cat KD, sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, reading, traveling, music, her friends and neighbors at Tucson Meadows, Over 40s Breakfasts and Mt. Lemmon. Her family is sincerely grateful to Dr. Kristen Lorenz and staff as well as Casa de la Luz Hospice for their care and support. Donations in Lorna's name may be made to Casa de la Luz or the Community Food Bank. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel.
