Obituary for Lauren Ann Kettenbach

Lauren Ann Kettenbach was born in Tucson, AZ and spent her entire life cultivating an environment of beauty in the city that she called home. Impossible to miss, she was a statuesque blonde with a quick wit and a contagious sense of humor who deeply affected every heart she touched. Her extraordinary passion and extensive knowledge for gardening earned her the nickname of "rose queen". Lauren's garden had no equal and her rosarian speeches, in which she freely shared her floricultural wisdom were famous, drawing large crowds from Green Valley to Marana. Her commitment to enhancing Tucson also included working at The University of Arizona as a master gardener and donating her time to aiding members of the community with gardening issues. With her highly cultivated aesthetic tastes, Lauren was an avid collector of rare antiques, a notorious foodie and was celebrated for her grand holiday themed decorations. A bold personality, Lauren never failed to make an impression, often donning pink lipstick and a string of pearls. Deeply spiritual, she would regularly pray for others at the San Xavier del Bac Mission. Her willingness to support friends and neighbors was boundless. She was a devoted sister to Kerry and Michael, with whom she shared a profound bond. The greatest love of her life was reserved for her two beautiful daughters, Mia and Madeline Marquez, who continue to exemplify their mother's fierce strength and independence. Lauren is survived by her beloved daughters, Mia and Madeline Marquez and their father; as well as her brother, Michael Kettenbach. She was preceded in death by her cherished sister Kerry Kettenbach. Arrangements by Adair Funeral Home, Dodge Chapel.
