Sal, a WWII veteran, was born in Brooklyn, NY to Theresa and Russell Gentile who raised him and his 3 brothers and 2 sisters in a cold water flat. He went on to become the Chief Estimator for the New York State Division of Housing. He was married to his lovee Margaret for 35 years and then after her death, spent the next 34 years with his sweet Veronica. He was a loving father to Stephanie, Paula and Mitch; a doting grandfather to Vanessa, Zach and Kyle and great grandfather to Jackson, his pride and joy. Sal had been loved and cherished by many friends and family and will be sorely missed by all.
