Obituary for Magdalen Ann Edwards

Magdalen Ann  Edwards
Magdalen Ann Edwards better know as Ann Edwards went to see the Lord and reunite with Mitchell Edwards on April 7th 2018. She was born April 19, 1927 to William and Mary (Alig) Schumacher in Woodsfield, Ohio. She was the 8th of 9 children.

Ann was educated both in Elementary and High School in Woodsfield Ohio. She moved to Michigan to attend Nursing School at Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and graduated with a RN.

It was during her time in Michigan she met the love of her life Mitchell Edwards Jr. After 3 months of courtship they married on Oct 29. 1949 and began their marriage that would last for 55 years. She worked as a nurse and eventually had her first child Stephen Randall.

On July 4, 1954 they moved to Bisbee, AZ to make a home. Ann worked for the Copper Queen Hospital for many years as a nurse. She then continued her career as the Cochise County TB Technician. She was a devoted catholic and spent countless hours volunteering with the Women’s Club at St Patrick’s and was a Eucharistic minister for St Patrick’s as well.

She always put her family first and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. She never missed a chance to attend any activity that any of her children, grandchildren, and even her great grandchildren were included in be it sports or other activities.

Survivors include her six children: Randy (Marilyn), Scott (Rose), Sam (Sol), Stan (Lisa), Stacy (Lorrie), and Michelle (Patrick) Castellano. Brother Martin Schumacher. 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at St Odilia’s Catholic Church 7570 N Paseo Del Norte Tucson, AZ 85704on April 14, 2018 at 12pm. Reception to follow at the church hall.
